Step by step HOW TO submit comment for Feb 2 Joint Budget Committee

Submit testimony in writing instantly. Easy action steps to use today! Share this email with everyone!

Here are the easy steps to share your thoughts with the budget bill creators at Colorado Legislature, the Joint Budget committee.

Submit written testimony today for the Monday Feb 2 1:30p JBC Open mic public comment, you can continue to submit until the hearing is over likely in the late evening!

Click HERE for sign up form.

Step 1 Choose type of testimony (in person, remote or written)

Step 2 Click on Committee and Hearing,

Choose Joint Budget Committee,

then the Feb 2 1:30p Consideration of Public Testimony.

Step 3 Personal information you add

You can upload a document or type text into the form.

Many like to include a picture so that might be good to do a PDF but really key is to just submit your thoughts!!! Keep it simple.

Remember these legislators and aides will read and hear HUNDREDS so keep it focused, with white space and empathy for their impossible situation.

KEY is to suggest OTHER COST savings in state budget if you are asking to protect something. Less content with stronger specifics presented simply is highly encouraged.

If you sign up to speak (in person or remote), you will be waiting a long time so be prepared!

Many like to submit both written and sign up for testimony both, just in case you are not able to be available when they call your name to speak live, in real time.

You can find budget documents and HCPF submitted PDFs HERE.

If you sign up to testify remotely, you will get a separate email link to use as log in.

LISTEN TO AUDIO: If you want to tune in for the 1:30 until who knows when open mic time at JBC, this is the link for that, Choose Joint Budget Committee on Feb 2 1:30 HERE

Forward this email to everyone!!!

Navigating Disability Colorado

If you live in Colorado and have a disabled child or loved one, it's essential to find out if you're eligible for a Colorado Medicaid waiver, which potentially offers up to $100 annually in services value and extra income. Waivers create a safety net for your disabled loved one and fund services that give them the best opportunities to learn and succeed. But the waiver application process is complex and fraught with misinformation and obstacles. That's why NDC created Roadmap for the Waiver Journey, a transformational program that teaches everything you'll ever need to know to successfully apply for, and maximize, a waiver throughout all the ages and stages of your disabled loved one's life.
